The State of Blogging
I found an interesting study on Blogs during 2004: http://www.pewinternet.org/pdfs/PIP_blogging_data.pdf
Highlights of it include:
- 7% of US adults or 8 million people say they created a blog
- 27% of US internet users read blogs (up 58%)
- 32 million people read blogs in the US
- 12% of US internet users have posted comments on blogs
- 38% of US internet users know what a blog is - I thought it would be higher!
Other interesting facts about Bloggers:
- 57% are male
- 48% are under age 30
- 70% have broadband at home
- 82% have been online for six years or more
- 42% live in households earning over $50,000
- 39% have college or graduate degrees
The report is 4 pages, and fairly interesting. Check it out.
